The New York Giants own four Super Bowl titles. They’re the only NFL franchise to twice get the better of Tom Brady in a Super Bowl game.
That was then. The now isn’t nearly as impressive for New York’s football Giants.
They’ve suffered double-digit loss seasons four years in a row and in six of the past seven campaigns. While there’s no indication to Giants fans that things are going to get any better in 2021, that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of opportunities to wager on outcomes involving the Giants in the upcoming NFL season.
The Giants are set at odds of +8000 to win the Super Bowl according to New York sportsbooks. Bettors will get odds of +4000 to win the NFC Championship. They are +400 to take the NFC East title.
Barkley Comeback Odds
The loss of 2018 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Saquon Barkley to a season-ending knee injury in Week 2 was a crushing blow for the Giants. The star running back is still not yet ready to return to action.
Still, he’s being touted as the third betting option to be NFL Comeback Player of the Year at a line of +800. Barkley is the co-eighth betting choice to lead the NFL in rushing TDs at +1800. He’s also at odds of +1800 to be named the NFL Offensive Player of the Year.
Barkley’s rushing TD total is set at nine with -115 odds for the over or under wager. His rushing yards total is 1185.5 yards. The over is worth -130 and the underis at +100 with Draftkings NY.
Jones Passing Props
In his third season as the starting quarterback for the Giants, it could be a make it or break it season for Daniel Jones. He’s 8-18 in two seasons as a starter.
Last season, Jones saw a decrease in interceptions (12-10) but also suffered a dramatic dropoff in touchdown passes (24-11). Perhaps of greatest concern with Jones is his inability to hold onto the football. He’s fumbled 29 times as an NFL QB.
DraftKings is offering three props on Jones’ numbers for the upcoming season. His TD pass numbers are set at 24. Odds are -115 whether you bet the over or the under.
His passing yardage total is set at 3800.5 yards, even though his career high is 3027 yards. The over is worth -130 and the under is at odds of +100.
Jones is also the ninth betting choice to lead the NFL in interceptions at odds of +1400.
Martinez A Tackling Machine
Perhaps the best bet on the Giants is linebacker Blake Martinez. He’s currently the co-favorite to lead the NFL in tackles during the 2021 season.
Bettors will get +700 odds on Martinez to collect the most tackles. He was third in the league last season with 151 stops.
In 2019 while playing for the Green Bay Packers, Martinez made 155 tackles, second overall in the NFL. He was also second in the NFL in 2018 with 144 tackles. He shared the league lead in 2017 with 144 tackles.
