The Ithaca Police Department is investigating a stabbing that happened in the 200 block of Eddy Street around 2:25 a.m. on Sunday.
According to a news release, police located a male victim who had sustained a stab wound to his right arm. The victim was treated on scene by Bangs Ambulance then transported to Cayuga Medical Center for treatment.
Police described the injuries as non life threatening.
Witnesses said the incident started when three party guests refused to leave a large party on Eddy Street. This escalated into a physical dispute involving numerous people, which resulted in one person being stabbed.
Following the stabbing the three party guests fled the scene in a blue minivan.
Three people are currently detained at IPD headquarters. An investigation is underway, but anyone with information that could help officers is asked to call 607-272-3245.
