This Saturday will mark 20 years since the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. Several events are scheduled throughout Livingston County to honor those who lost their lives that day. These events include, but may not be limited to:
Avon – St. Agnes School will hold a Remembrance Ceremony for the community, veterans, first responders and students. Patriot Guard Riders will be there to assist in honoring the first responders, military personnel, and civilians who gave their lives that day. The event will take place on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.

Geneseo – SUNY Geneseo will host a 9/11 Remembrance Flag Presentation on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 8 a.m.

Lima – The Lima American Legion Post 282 will host a Remembrance Ceremony, along with a spaghetti dinner and a memorial ride. The Remembrance Ceremony begins at 11 a.m. Registration for the memorial ride is from 10-11 a.m. with the departure at 11:30 a.m.

Livonia – Livonia Fire Department will hold a ceremony starting at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021.

Mt. Morris – There will be a dedication ceremony for the First Responders Mural in Mount Morris on September 11, 2021, at 11 a.m. Free hot dogs will be available to everyone attending the dedication. The dedication will include participation from the following organizations:

· Mt. Morris Police Department
· Mt. Morris Ambulance Service
· Mt. Morris VFW Post
· Mt. Morris American Legion Post
· Livingston County Sheriff’s Office
