Auburn and Cayuga County plan to hold various events in honor of the anniversary of 9/11 this Saturday.
There will be a ceremony Saturday morning beginning at 8:40 a.m. on the south lawn of Memorial City Hall in Auburn.
The Wheeler bell at the top of City Hall will ring at the time the attacks happened 20 years ago. First for the South Tower, second for the flight in Pennsylvania, and third for the North Tower.
From 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. there will be a 20th Anniversary Remembrance event at Emerson Park with food, music, and activities for families.
At 7 p.m. Saturday there will be a ceremony held by Auburn police and the fire departments at Falcon Park.
