Cayuga County has one of the worst case rates in New York with 67% of positive cases being unvaccinated people

Beginning Aug. 23, Cayuga County began sharing the vaccination status for positive cases of COVID-19, and over 67% are unvaccinated.

By Tuesday, 55 new cases were reported and 41 were unvaccinated.


Cayuga County has one of the worst case rates in New York according to the data released by the CDC.

The high level threshold is 100 cases per 100,000 people, and for Cayuga County there are 310 cases per 100,000 people.
