Government reform groups ask the Hochul Administration for the transparency New Yorker’s were promised

Government reform groups are calling on Governor Kathy Hochul to publish more than 100 datasets about COVID-19 to be more transparent with the public about the ongoing crisis.

Hochul has pledged to be more transparent than Governor Cuomo was, and ten organizations led by Reinvent Albany are asking for her to provide that.

There is a portal of datasets kept by New York City that tracks the pandemic’s progress on various issues.

When the Cuomo administration was asked to reveal more about the rates of infection and vaccination on nursing homes, only 14 of 123 datasets were made accessible.
