U.S. hits record highs during fourth wave of COVID-19

Since the start of the pandemic, the United States has reached 40 million total cases of COVID-19 and over 651,000 deaths.

Vaccination rates have slowly increased since July, but some states and areas remain well below the 70% fully vaccinated goal.

This is the fourth wave of COVID-19 and the Delta Variant is the culprit.

The  hardest hit hospitals are seeing an average of 100,000 patients per day.
