Congressman John Katko watched as the World Trade Center collapsed on live television and now works toward keeping America safe from future attacks.
At the time of the attack he was a federal prosecutor, and today he’s a U.S. Congressman as well as a ranking member on the House Homeland Security Committee.
While the country works hard to be proactive against terrorist attacks happening again, Katko reminds everyone that there are still many threats.
Katko explained that China is a threat to our cybersecurity, and with the Taliban taking over Afghanistan again, it puts us at risk.
He also believes the southern border not being secured is a threat to long-term stability in the United States.
Congresswoman Claudia Tenney agrees with the border being a concern, saying terrorists on the terrorist watch list are making it into the United States.
She also feels that China is a threat with its goal to become a “world superpower.”
Cyber attacks are dangerous because they can do a different kind of damage compared to 9/11, like wipe out banks, cause fuel shortages, and other things.
