The New York State Fair has ended after its first ever 18 day event.
The last fair in 2019 had a total of 1.3 million visitors. This year there were around 700,000 as of Sunday.
While the smaller crowds had a negative impact on vendors, visitors enjoyed having more room.
Many visitors went for the first time this year because they knew it would be less crowded and likely safer as COVID-19 spreads.
Saturday had 65,000 people visit, the busiest day of the event. The same day in 2019 had 80,000 more people.
