Out of the hospitalized individuals in Cayuga County, three of them are under the age of 20.
18 people are currently hospitalized in Auburn Community Hospital and two Syracuse hospitals; Crouse and Upstate University.
The ages very with three between ages 10-19 and two in their 90s.
The rest are in their 30s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s.
13 of the 18 patients are unvaccinated.
During the month of August, 147 children under 18 tested positive for the virus.
In August the health department began recording vaccination status and by Aug. 23 with 366 new cases, 236 were unvaccinated.
The next vaccine clinic for Cayuga County will be Wednesday, Sept. 8 at Fingerlakes Mall. Johnson & Johnson as well as first and second doses of Moderna will be available.
