The boil water notice that was activated in Seneca Falls and surrounding communities serviced by the Town of Seneca Falls’ water supply was lifted on Friday.
A water main break on State Route 89 prompted the boil water alert.
The repair was made within hours, but due to the break, several days of water samples were required before the water could be deemed safe for consumption and general use.
It was lifted on Friday, at which point water was deemed safe for consumption.
