Three new businesses submit applications for Industrial Development Agency aid in Seneca County

Three businesses have applied for tax breaks to be considered by the Board of Directors of the Seneca County Industrial Development Agency.

The three companies are Trelina Solar Energy Center, Wilkins RV Center, and BestMade Products.

Trelina, a solar energy company based out of Florida, is looking for a certificate to build their project on Packwood and Serven Roads. The tax exemption they’re seeking is a PILOT worth savings of $17.5 million over 15 years and a sales tax exemption worth $1.1 million.

Wilkins RV Center is based out of Bath and plans to build the business on Route 414 in Tyre. They seen a PILOT agreement that would save $564,000 and a sales tax exemption that would save $192,261.

BestMade Products bought to parcels of land from the IDA in the Deer Run Industrial Park in Seneca Falls. They make docks and lease space. They seek a PILOT as well as sales tax exemption and mortgage tax exemption.
