A recent decision to end fire protection service contracts with the Waterloo Volunteer Fire Department prompted the Village of Waterloo residents to ask about what protection they would have.
Village Mayor Jack O’Connor said there will still be fire services from the Waterloo VFD.
The effective date the contract ends is Dec. 31, 2021.
Beginning in 2022 the town of Waterloo will begin a contract with Border City Fire Department.
