Generations Bank announced today that they will be placing the first of their series of four bells at the National Women’s Hall of Fame on September 1, 2021.
The bell is a half size replica of the Justice Bell, which was forged to provide encouragement for the 19th Amendment’s ratification. The Justice Bell is modeled after the Liberty Bell, the inscription is the same as the Liberty Bell but with the words “Establish Justice” added.
The inscription on one side is “Establish Justice, Proclaim Liberty Throughout All The Land Unto All The Inhabitants”. The inscription on the other side is “Celebrating The 1848 First Women’s Rights Convention 175th Anniversary, Convened In Seneca Falls, NY”.
Generations and the National Women’s Hall of Fame invite the public to the unveiling on September 1, 2021 at 11:00am at 1 Canal Street in Seneca Falls.
The bell will remain on display at the National Women’s Hall of Fame for several months before it relocates to its permanent home near the Generations Bank headquarters.
