Cayuga County and the Finger Lakes Region have had a successful summer for tourism, even with COVID-19 creating a lot of issues for travelers.
Tour Cayuga Executive Director Karen Kuhl said that a lot of people are coming from the metropolitan areas and have filled hotels all season.
She explains it has been a domestic tourism boom, not internationally due to the difficulties of international travel right now.
Kuhl believes the tourism growth will continue through the year with Tomatofest coming up in Auburn on Sept. 11 as well as fall foliage beginning soon.
