The New York State Police has been putting on various shows for the public at the New York State Fair this year.
One show involves Trooper Mark Bender and his canine, Ada. Ada isn’t just a police dog, but she lives at home with Bender too.
The canine exhibit shows what the dogs can do.
These shows help show the public what it is their tax dollars do as well.
Bender said the show helps people to see that police dogs aren’t vicious and that they are trained and can do the job they’re trained to do.
The show gives the police a chance to meet with and talk to the public as well in order to build more positive relationships.
