Rob Astorino, former county executive of Westchester County, is running for governor in 2022 and sees an easier competition with Kathy Hochul as current governor of New York.
He says that between her inheriting Andrew Cuomo’s set of issues as well as being part of the administration that caused so much damage, running against her will be much easier.
He does not believe her statements are plausible when saying she didn’t know Cuomo acted in the ways his accusers say despite running for office with him twice.
Hochul has vowed to change the culture of Albany which she described as toxic while Cuomo was in office.
