According to experts, it is possible to create one COVID vaccine to stop all variants that exist and may exist in the future as they mutate.
Two research teams are reportedly working on a “super” vaccine that may halt every strain of the virus that comes to exist.
In a study publish in the New England Journal of Medicine, it hinted at the existence of high level and broad spectrum antibodies found in blood samples from people who survived the SARS outbreak that happened in 2003.
It is alleged that these antibodies are powerful enough to stop COVID as well as 5 other viruses that have the potential to jump from bats and pangolins to humans.
In another study from a medical journal called Immunity, antibodies were found in mice that had the power to protect them from COVID.
The “perfect” vaccine would be able to be given in one dose, be safely stored at room temperature, work across all demographics, and have the possibility to be self administered.
It’s reported that testing of such a vaccine is being done by researchers on volunteers and that a vaccine without needles is in the works too.
