Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand have written to FEMA urging them to approve whatever requests they receive following the damages from flooding after Tropical Storm Fred.
One specific thing they referenced was the severely damaged Jasper-Troupsburg High School.
Schumer wrote that the damage will likely cost tens of millions of dollars and asked that FEMA mobilize the Disaster Assessment Teams to be ready to assist communities in need of recovery.
