FLCC is looking for organizations to partner with that will offer vocational training to students off campus.
GRIT, Growing Rural Infrastructure Together, is a new program within FLCC that helps to provide an online educations to rural students who otherwise wouldn’t have access.
Todd Sloane, of FLCC, explains that the distance to any of the 4 campuses can be long and in the winter just plain bad.
GRIT would eliminate that part of the issue and give students a chance to earn certificates and skill sets for jobs that employers are specifically looking for.
The program will begin in January.
