Two COVID related deaths were reported over the weekend by the Cayuga County Health Department.
The county hasn’t seen a COVID related death in two week.
The deaths were of two men, one in his 70s and one in his 60s, who were both hospitalized for COVID.
Cayuga County has been identified as an area with a high rate of transmission.
There will be COVID vaccine clinics in Cayuga County this week.
Thursday at the Port Byron school district there will be a walk in clinic from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and also at the Cato-Meridian Middle School from 4 p.m. 5 p.m.
Moderna and Pfizer are both available at the clinics.
Friday there will be a vaccination clinic as well at Fingerlakes Mall from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday. Both Moderna and Pfizer are available.
