New York State has ranked as one of the highest states experiencing unemployment following the pandemic.
The United States unemployment rate is currently 5.4%, much better than the previous 14.8% the country saw in April of 2020.
New York is at 7.6% currently.
Many jobs have been filled in the last month, 943,000 in total, in sectors like leisure and hospitality, government education, and business and professional services.
The highest states on the list that have recovered well include Nebraska, Utah, and South Dakota. Some of the lowest are New York, Nevada, and California.
Nebraska is the highest on the list and Nevada is the lowest.
