Mozaic will help to address the direct support professional staffing crisis and push for the Better Care Better Jobs Act

Mozaic is now leading in the local effort to fix issues with the nationwide Direct Support Professionals crisis situation.

Last week, a panel of advocates, parents, and direct support professionals addressed the U.S. Deputy Labor Secretary Julie Su.

People are encouraged to reach out to their local representatives to ask them to sponsor the Better Care Better Jobs Act.

Mozaic’s ways of trying to recruit and retain direct support professionals include increasing the hourly wage from $12.50 to $13.75, giving sign on bonuses, four weeks vacation time, and flexible schedules.
