Sheriff Kevin Henderson says a 35-year-old Geneva resident was taken into custody by deputies on more than a half-dozen felony charges after an investigation into illegally obtained public benefits.
Christina Robinson, 35, of Geneva was charged with seven counts of felony offering a false instrument for filing.
It’s alleged that Robinson filed five false documents with the Ontario County Department of Social Services between October 2019 and February 2021.
As result, she received $10,009 in temporary assistance and SNAP benefits from that agency in 2020 and 2021.
Henderson says Robinson is also accused of filing two false documents with the Geneva Housing Authority resulting in receipt of $8,372 in assistance.
At arraignment, Robinson was also charged with one count of welfare fraud and another count of grand larceny.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
