Lollypop Farm is finding themselves at capacity as people continue to try to admit pets.
The shelter is currently putting pets and families dealing with emergency situations first and asking those in need of help to call first instead of walking in to admit their pet.
The Verona Street Animal Society is facing the same issue, particularly with dogs.
The crowding is stressful for the animals, and Lollypop says if something doesn’t change or they don’t get help, they’ll need to start using training kennels to hold dogs.
One way to help the shelters is to foster animals until the shelters are able to find them a permanent home.
