The 7 day positivity rate for new cases of COVID-19 in Cayuga County has been 6.6%.
It’s the second highest county just behind Lawrence County which has a positivity rate of 6.9%.
71 cases were reported in two days, the highest in a two day period since January.
Hospital rates are the same, with 9 patients being treated for COVID.
There are no new deaths for the county, which currently has 91 COVID related deaths altogether.
49.4% of residents in Cayuga County are fully vaccinated.
A clinic will be held at the Scipio Fire Department, 3550 Route 34, in Scipio Center on Tuesday, Aug. 24 between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Moderna and Pfizer will be available and kids 12-17 may get the Pfizer vaccine with a parent or guardian present.
