Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital secures enough funding for new CT scanner

Greenridge Generation has donated $75,000 to the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Penn Yan for the purchase of a new CT scanner.

The current scanner is 17 years old.

The new scanner would be faster, have lower dose radiation, and increased accuracy from enhanced imaging. The hospital began raising money for the scanner in 2020, which is $400,000.

After receiving donations from other organizations, this one closed the gap to secure the total amount of funding needed to make the purchase by the end of the year.
