URMC is offering courses on healthier living through Zoom, registration is open

The University of Rochester Medical Center will be bringing back their initiatives to help promote healthier living among the community.

They will start with “Promote Health. Prevent Cancer.” The initiative will hold 8 free zoom classes with the first 45 minutes being devoted to nutrition education.

Other topics covered in the classes are tobacco use, alcohol use, and cancer screenings.

The classes will be available in 27 counties so people throughout the state will be able to connect.

The two upcoming programs are 8 weeks and begin in September.

Choices include:
Tuesdays, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., September 7 through October 26 or

Mondays, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. September 13 through November 1.

Registration can be completed by calling Hannah Farley at 315-401-1945 or emailing [email protected].
