The City of Auburn is moving to require anyone working at or visiting a city-owned building to wear a mask.
The new rule comes as COVID-19 cases surge in Cayuga County.
It takes effect on Monday. City Manager Jeff Dygert expressed frustration with the situation- as well as rising cases- but told Finger Lakes News Radio that it comes down to new cases.
The health department is urging anyone who visits a store or public, indoor space to wear a mask.
