The board of education for Auburn Enlarged City School District has filled the position of assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction.
Amy Mahunik, former Seward Elementary School principal, has taken on the role after being with the district for 21 years.
Mahunik’s roles have included principal, teacher and coach.
Her term will end August 11, 2024.
She will be taking over for Sarah Cupelli who was chosen as Auburn’s assistant superintendent of personnel in July.
