County Executive Ryan McMahon announced Onondaga County will be requiring individuals to quarantine again while awaiting test results for the virus.
The weekend had 151 new cases and Monday the number was 57.
No deaths were reported but hospitalizations were higher with 29 in the hospital and 8 in ICU.
McMahon reminded everyone that state policies have left it up to local governments to decide guidelines, and the numbers are what are looked at when making decisions.
Officials urge residents get vaccinated and insist it is the best defense against the virus.
