United Way has recently merged to be the United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes, and serves Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Wayne and Wyoming counties.
The total area coverage is now 5,144 square miles and will joining over 50,000 donors and many more workplaces, nonprofit partners and volunteers.
Members will remain with United Way and the president and CEO will be Jaime Saunders.
Cicely Strickland-Ruiz serves as chief operating officer, Jennifer Cathy as chief impact officer, Barbara Pierce as chief development officer and Laurie Ganon as chief financial officer.
Kari Buch remains in a leadership role as associate director of community impact, and Tammy Hathaway and Carol Pettis as senior regional development managers.
The six different United Way’s have already worked together for tears, and this will be a faster and more efficient structure.
Any money raised for a certain area will remain in that area, and donors can choose where they want their donations to go as well as what cause to support.
