While the Delta variant makes its rounds, the common cold is also making a comeback.
Doctor Matthew Cambareri of West Taft Family Care in Liverpool said he thinks it’ll only get worse as school begins, and that the flu is also coming back.
Cambareri says he only diagnosed one case of the flu last year, the lightest year he’s seen for colds and flus. He thinks schools being closed down had a lot to do with it.
He states that with people getting more comfortable without masks and in-person activities returning, he expects a spread in other illnesses and advises everyone to treat any illness like Covid-19 until a test says otherwise.
He added the wearing a mask may not be a bad idea even though mandates have been lifted.
Some stores are asking customers to wear masks again.
