New York State updates their Excelsior Pass to make it more accessible to patrons and businesses

New York State will be releasing a new version of the vaccine passport, known as the Excelsior Pass, to make it more accessible to people.

The update will allow for residents to have a QR code sent to their phones and scanned by establishments they’re frequenting.

A paper pass can be printed as well.

This version is called the Excelsior Pass Plus and can be obtained online.

The Excelsior Pass can be used with American Airlines as proof when flying to Greece, France, Spain, Italy and the Bahamas. It can be used on indirect flights to El Salvador, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras and Puerto Rico.

The pass is utilized by many major venues that require vaccines including Broadway, Madison Square Garden, Barclays Center and the Yankee Stadium.

Marriott International also plans to make use of the Excelsior Pass with their meeting and event planners in New York.
