New Yorkers are starting to change their minds about the vaccine for various reasons.
Valerie Vecchio stated that with the cases rising and how badly thing escalated during the last outbreak, she wanted to be more proactive this time.
Others feel the need to vaccinate with school around the corner to help keep their children safe as they mingle with other kids.
One father, Anthony Harrison, stated he felt apprehensive at first, but after seeing little effects from the vaccine he decided to have his 15-year-old daughter vaccinated.
Vecchio said she thinks people should get the shot because nobody knows where the variant may lead the country after what it’s done in the UK and India.
Harrison said with society changing, people need to change with it and think things through for the greater good, like children’s education.
The Syracuse City School District will be holding a vaccine clinic at ITC on Friday, August 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and at Lincoln from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
