The Palmyra-Macedon Dollars for Scholars program was able to raise $21,000 dollars with their phone-a-thon event this year, distributing a record breaking amount of scholarship funds to students in the district.
80 high schoolers volunteered to call Pal-Mac households and were able to raise enough to give ten seniors $2,000 scholarships.
The Dollars for Scholars Awards ceremony was held virtually this year with Pal-Mac Superintendent Bob Ike and High School Principal Andrew Wahl.
The class of 2021 received $185,300 in total to go toward educational funding, more than any other class before them.
Since the Pal-Mac Dollars for Scholars founding in 1987, more than $2 million dollars has been given in scholarship funds to over 2,000 students.
