A 43-year-old man has been sentenced to 13 years for burglary and 2-4 years for robbery after attempting to rob a Cato bank in 2019.
Jason Ingleston, of Red Creek, tried and failed to rob the Cato Community Bank branch in October of 2019.
After an unsuccessful attempt at bank robbery, he broke into a home in Ira and was arrested when Cayuga County sheriff’s and state troopers arrived on scene.
Ingleston’s attorney attempted to get the case dismissed but Judge Mark Fandrich denied the motion.
