Syracuse women’s basketball to host Ohio State for December matchup in Big Ten/ACC Challenge

Syracuse will host Ohio State on Dec. 1 at the Carrier Dome for the 14th Big Ten/ACC Women’s Basketball Challenge. The annual challenge returns after a hiatus in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is scheduled to continue through the 2026-27 season. The challenge features 14 high-quality matchups between two of the nation’s premiere women’s basketball conferences.

Syracuse is 3-4 all-time in the challenge since joining the league and lost to No. 24/25 Michigan on the road in overtime, 84-76 in 2019. Syracuse is looking for its first win in the challenge since 2017 when the Orange beat Northwesterm 81-74 in The Dome.

The ACC is 9-1-3 all-time in the Challenge, headlined by three outright titles in the last four years the event has been held. Additionally, the ACC owns a 94-70 overall win-loss record against the Big Ten in the Challenge.

Game times, as well as television coverage, will be announced at a later date.
