Hornellsville will be experiencing traffic delays in the upcoming weeks due to a restoration project.
Alternating single lane traffic will be happening on State Route 36, and between State Route 21 and Jones Road, controlled by flaggers.
The closures began on Monday and will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until sometime in mid-August.
Monday and Tuesday, August 2-3, the Interstate 86 westbound Exit 34A (Hornell) and eastbound Exit 34B (Arkport) off ramps will have closures that alternate between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
At that time, traffic will be directed to the nearest exit with a detour in place.
The Department of Transportation reminds people that fines are double in zones that have roadwork going on, and two convictions may result in a suspended license.
