The New York State Sheriffs’ Institute summer camp on Keuka Lake had nineteen children from Wayne County in attendance this summer.
The camp is for children that wouldn’t normally have a chance to go to summer camp and offered recreation as well as a development of good citizenship.
Suzanne Catholdi from Wayne Behavioral Health provided bags for the kids and transportation was provided by Chris Doran, Chris Brown and Scott Brooks from Regional Transit Service Wayne.
214 children from Wayne County have attended the camp since 2010 when it started.
The camp is called Camp Iroquois and is located in Jerusalem in Yates County.
