Airbnb works with New York State Tourism Association to bring tourism to the region, including Seneca County

In order to promote tourism across the state, Airbnb is working with the New York State Tourism Association.

Airbnb has started a Roam the Empire campaign and lists locations by county worth visiting and experiencing in New York State. Seneca County is one of the featured counties. Airbnb investment has become common throughout the Finger Lakes.

Liz DeBold Fusco, a senior communications manager for Airbnb, said the 300,000 New Yorkers in the tourism industry have lost their jobs during the pandemic, and hopes that by teaming up with the state for the Roam the Empire campaign it will help with the economy.

Fusco said they chose to focus on Seneca County as well as the other upstate counties because of the richness in green land, wineries, lakes and all of the things New Yorkers are privileged enough to have access to.

There is a landing page that visitors can check to help plan their trips including where to stay and what to do on a visit.
