After a year-and-a-half of pandemic unemployment help- the aid is coming to an end. The extended benefits offered through various relief bills passed and signed into law will expire over the next two months.
Extended benefits will cease on August 9- while most other unemployment programs will conclude on September 5.
Many employers hope that the vast number of openings at businesses across the region will start to fill up as the extended benefits come to an end.
Following the conclusion of these programs- the normal state unemployment program will remain, which allows a person to receive around $500 per week.
