A package a measures making its way through Congress may give states access to over $3 billion dollars for clean water and drinking water.
The package was passed by the House of Representatives.
Concerns surrounding water contamination issues and the need to regulate chemicals like PFAS helped its passing.
$61.8 million will be used for scientific research toward cleaning up the water, $49 million for the Environmental Protection Agency, and $428.6 million to improve storm water management and wastewater treatment.
