Gov. Cuomo asks businesses to allow vaccinated customers only in New York

Gov. Andrew Cuomo is trying to push the state in a new direction- as COVID-19 positivity rates continue to climb.

This time he’s asking that business owners across the state only allow vaccinated patrons to partake. He says that will encourage more residents to get vaccinated.

However, there are questions about that- after the CDC to doubled-down on continued masking- even for those who are vaccinated.

All of this stems from concerns around the delta variant of COVID-19.

A full-state mandate could come with the proposal in the near future. While nothing has been made official on the policy side- some business owners wonder if in the coming weeks that suggestion will become rule of law.

If so, smaller venues and businesses are concerned about their viability heading into the fall.
