Two local students received the Thompson Health Guild Scholarship worth $2,000.
In order to receive the scholarship the student needs to be registered in a health-related field and must complete one college semester with plans to study another semester in the health field.
The Gerry North Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Midlakes High School student Isaiah Delgado.
Delgado will be a student at Rochester Institute of Technology studying biomedical science.
He participated in New Visions Health Therapy Sciences during his senior year of high school and has a goal of becoming a doctor.
The Theresa Tremblay Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Kennedy Knopf, a Canandaigua Academy student.
Knopf plans to attend the University of Washington to major in bioengineering.
Her ultimate goal is to study stem cell research.
