Studies begin in Rochester to research what happens when mixing different vaccine brands

The University of Rochester Medical Center is conducting research to see if by mixing different vaccines, it will bolster immunity to the Coronavirus.

Dr. Ann Falsey says the goal is to stay ahead of Covid-19, not play catch up which is what has typically happened.

Until this point people getting vaccinated have been sticking to one brand of the three available vaccines.

Researchers began with people who received any of the three brands and all of them received a booster shot of Moderna.

Johnson and Johnson will be given to everyone in the second group, and Pfizer in the third.
