Deputies: One airlifted, two others hospitalized after two-motorcycle crash in Wayne County

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the investigation of a motorcycle crash that involved two bikes at the intersection of Lake Road and Maple Avenue.

It happened on Sunday a little before 2 p.m., according to deputies.

Christopher Griffin, 45, of Rochester was riding with his wife, Joni, 42, alongside his brother Theodore Griffin, 52, of Rochester, and his passenger, Patricia Gibson, 47, of Hilton.




Christopher’s bike lost control and hit Theodore’s. Deputies said Christopher and Patricia were transported by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Joni was airlifted by Life Net to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Sodus Town Ambulance, Silver Waters Ambulance, Williamson Town Ambulance, Sodus Fire Department, and Wallington Fire Department.
