On Wednesday first responders were called to State Route 5&20 and Old Mill Road for the report of a personal injury crash.
Lorenzo Gomez-Vazquez, 19, of Pittsfield, Massachussetts was traveling north on Old Mill Road when he failed to stop for a stop sign. He collided with a vehicle operated by Robert Ohoroa, 70, of Stanley- causing that vehicle to rollover.
As it rolled it collided with another vehicle operated by Judith Williams, 67, of Rushford.
Deputies said in a news release that Gomez-Vazquez’ vehicle had two passengers- one of which needed to be extricated after being partly ejected. That 17-year-old victim was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Another 17-year-old passenger and Gomez-Vazquez were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by ground with minor injuries.
Ohora was transported to Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua with minor back pain. Others were examined at the scene by EMS and released, according to deputies.
Gomez-Vazquez was issued tickets for failing to yield the right of way and failing to stop at the intersection.
They are due back in Seneca Town Court at a later date.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by New York State Police, Seneca Castle Fire Department, Stanley Fire Department, Hopewell Fire Department, Finger Lakes Ambulance, Stanley-Hall-Gorham Ambulance, Mercy Flight, and Ontario County Emergency Management.
