Letitia James, New York Attorney General, has proposed an agreement of $26 billion dollars that would aid in the treatment of individuals currently suffering from opioid addiction.
As part of a historic global settlement, @JNJNews, @McKesson, @cardinalhealth, and @Healthcare_ABC will pay $26 billion for their roles in the opioid crisis.
Up to $1.25 billion will go to New York under settlements we previously announced with these companies.

These funds will go to communities across New York and the nation to help end this crisis.
We will continue to do everything we can to prevent future devastation from opioids.

The agreement would also work to require the industry to make changes to help end the opioid epidemic and prevent it from happening again in the future.
