Tompkins County is currently searching to fill the first ever position of director of the Community Justice Center.
The application process is open until August 15.
The role of the director will be to lead the implementation of the reimagining process. Ithaca has recently adopted drastic changes, and the role of this person is to put them into action.
The main objective of the director is connecting organizational systems of government, public safety and the needs of the community.
Ideal candidates would meet the following criteria:
-A Masters degree in sociology, education, public administration, ethnic studies, communication or a closely related field and three years of experience in either management or administrative services.
-A Bachelor’s Degree in sociology, education, public administration, ethnic studies, communication or a closely related field and five years of experience in either management or administrative services.
-Any combination of experience and training equal to or greater than options 1 and 2.
Candidates are not required to be Tompkins County residents.
